For the most part, celebrities peer among people as fashion spectacles whenever they’re in public places, dressed up based on their likings. They’re usually seen on the streets or car parks carrying paper bags from their favorite shops. No wonder they don’t wear the same outfit twice as their wardrobe is regularly stacked with brand new apparel. With wealth like theirs, who wouldn’t, right? But we have to put into consideration their status in society. So, sustaining a presentable image for them is quite a necessity. Of course, they use cold cash. No credit cards, presumably.
As they go out for a shopping spree, paparazzi are always on the pry, waiting for a perfect shot. However, there are also times when regular people, who happen to be around when a celebrity walks past them or at the same place, take pictures of them and post it online. If the shots are good, you get to see the name of the stores they went into.
Ever wondered what are some of the shops celebrities buy from? Keep reading!
Chanel
The French luxury house Chanel is among the favorites of celebrities for dressing up, especially on the red carpet, such as Lily-Rose Depp, Penelope Cruz, as well as Blake Lively, which also serves as the stylist for the latter. Coco Chanel founded the fashion house back in 1910—perhaps with small business loans.
Gucci
Another brand adored by celebrities is Gucci, which is a high-end Italian luxury fashion house founded back in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. It became a globally known brand under the direction of his son, Aldo Gucci. Among the regular celebrity clients include Lana Del Rey, Jared Leto, and Harry Styles, who all wore Gucci to the Met Gala, as well as Hillary Duff.
Agent Provocateur
The Rude Boy singer, Rihanna, has been seen shopping at the British lingerie retail store Agent Provocateur, founded by Joseph Corre and Serena Rees back in 1994, with stores in 13 countries.
Harvey Nichols
Founded back in 1831, the British luxury brand and department store Harvey Nichols is a favorite spot for Mary-Kate Olsen, who brought an entourage to help her carry several bags after dropping by to shop in London.
Barneys Co-Op
Following its rebranding, Barneys Co-Op is now called Barneys New York, an American luxe department that was founded back in 1923, which introduced luxury brands like Ermenegildo Zegna, Armani, Comme des Garcons, Azzedine Alaia, and many more—good investment planning. Lea Michele is one of the celebrity customers of the mall.
Alice + Olivia
Jessica Stroup, who is best known in the teen drama television series 90210, shopped at the contemporary clothing store Alice + Olivia, which was launched at Barneys back in 2002, and has branches in over 50 countries. Other celebrity fans of the brand include Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Katy Perry, Dakota Fanning, Gwyneth Paltrow, and others.
Armani Exchange
Armani Exchange is a subsidiary brand of Giorgio Armani, which was created back in 1991, with designs that are geared toward a younger customer base. It features urban styles in its jeans, polos, shirts, and coats. Another 90210 actress was seen shopping at the said store, Jessica Lowndes, to try and mix into her funky and fun wardrobe.
Topshop
Scream 4 actress Emma Roberts dropped by the British multinational fashion retailer Topshop during her trip to London. During its running, it had around 510 shops globally. It was subsequently acquired by ASOS, a British online fashion and cosmetic retailer in 2021, and is now operating exclusively online, probably with the counsel of its financial advisor.
J.Crew
The American specialty retailer J.Crew is among Rachel Bilson’s favorite stores to shop, which offers an assortment of apparel and accessories, operating in over 450 retail stores throughout the United States.
