Geena Davis knew her way around the organ and flute by the time she was a teenager, and she even had the opportunity to contribute her talents to the local choir. To say the least, her fascination with performing led her to complete her studies with a bachelor’s degree in drama.

Davis’ first jobs in the spotlight were as a model, but that changed when she landed a role in the 1982 film Tootsie. The film, which received ten Oscar nominations, has since become a classic. Davis has since landed a slew of on-screen projects, including titles like In a World, The Exorcist, and the Stuart Little films. Aside from these, the actress’ likeness will be used to inspire the character Poison Ivy in the comic book series Batman ’89.
